The Marquardt Foundation relies on charitable gifts to carry out our mission. Our specific areas of need are:
General Fund
An undesignated gift allows the Foundation Board of Directors to determine how your gift will be used based on the mission, purpose, current and future priorities of Marquardt Village.
Bishop Milo Loppnow Spiritual Life Fund
Marquardt Village is blessed to have a chapel available to residents, staff, volunteers, and visitors. Our full-time chaplain accommodates the daily spiritual needs of the Marquardt community. Our Pastoral Care program sets Marquardt apart from other retirement communities and provides a unique environment in which to live and work. A donation to the Spiritual Life Fund will assist us in continuing to provide spiritual care on our campus.
A few months ago we launched a campaign of “Preserving the Past…Embracing the Future” to reflect on how the Marquardt Chapel has served us well for thirty years and now we must plan for its future. The proposed improvements, listed below on our Wish List, will maintain and enhance our sacred worship space for another 25-30 years.
Staff Appreciation Fund
Our staff strives to make a positive difference in the lives they touch each day. A donation to this fund allows us to recognize employees through special events, gifts and job enrichment.
Hospice Fund
Basic end-of- life services are usually covered by Medicare or insurance, but do not afford the comforts and quality of life patients and families deserve at this difficult time. Gifts to Hospice also provide support for the under- and uninsured.
Endowment Funds
Restricted or unrestricted endowments can be established by a donor who wishes to provide a permanent source of income to the Marquardt Foundation given the purpose of the fund is consistent with Marquardt’s needs and priorities. The minimum amount required to create an endowment is $10,000. Endowment funds can be named, giving the donor the opportunity to recognize a special individual or loved one. For more information, contact Foundation staff.
